The characteristic red veins of our ‘Red’ variety deliver an attractive color contrast when used in mixed salad bags. These are all varieties with a strong tolerance against downy mildew and red stains caused by stress conditions such as weather and insects.
Fluence F1 is a red veined fast uniform growing hybrid chard. Fluence is intermediate resistant to downy mildew and less sensitive to bleeding caused by insects or weather conditions. Very suitable variety for the colder periods and for organic production.
Ion F1 has red veined medium dark green leaves. The growth is fast and very uniform. Ion is intermediate resistant to downy mildew and less sensitive to bleeding caused by insects or weather conditions. Widely adaptable, vigorous variety, that performs very well in colder growing conditions and for organic production.
New! Tesla / PV-9022 has dark green attractive leaves with dark red veins. Tesla / PV-9022 has a high intermediate resistance for downy mildew and is less sensitive to bleeding caused by insects and weather conditions. Very promising variety with an attractive contrast of colours.
Races of Downy Mildew in Swiss chard have not been denominated officially. Therefore we cannot claim that varieties are resistant to any race of Downy Mildew in Swiss chard. By bleeding is meant a red discoloration of the leaves due to stress of insects or weather conditions.
